We build for users, not for metrics.
You know the arc. An app launches useful and honest. Then the numbers take over: the feed gets noisier, the notifications get needier, your attention becomes the product, and the thing you loved slowly turns into a thing you tolerate.
The GoodApps Company exists to prove that arc is a choice, not a law of nature. We build software that serves the people using it — and we design it so it can’t quietly stop. Consent as the default. Data that leaves when you do. No dark patterns, no trackers we wouldn’t want pointed at ourselves.
Talk is cheap, so we keep receipts.
The apps
Career App
A spam-free career network for setting goals, finding dream jobs, and celebrating milestones together. Built so nobody can reach you without your yes.
Recruiters need your yes.
Nobody can message you cold. Outreach is a request tied to a real role — a conversation only opens if you accept.
Employers can’t ghost.
Job listings that ignore applicants too long are automatically hidden from new candidates. Responding — even with a no — is the price of posting.
Salary transparency without exposure.
Members share real numbers that only ever appear as aggregates of five or more. Your salary is never shown to anyone.
No engagement bait.
Reputation comes from verified events — confirmed hires, real coworker recommendations — not streaks, likes, or posting volume.
Free for job seekers. No ads, no data sales, no noise. Currently available to U.S. residents.
MissedTakes
BetaEverybody grades the players. MissedTakes grades the analysts — every prediction they publish, scored against what actually happened.
Every score shows its arithmetic.
Each graded call publishes what it was measured against and how the number came out. A grade nobody can check is just an assertion.
A right of reply, from day one.
Corrections reach a person, not a form that goes nowhere. If we get a grade, a quote or an attribution wrong, saying so in public is part of the fix.
We don’t score what we can’t settle.
Where the result isn’t in yet, or we simply haven’t loaded it, the call stays ungraded and the gap is recorded as ours. “They were wrong” and “we didn’t look” are never the same sentence.
Being right is not the same as being useful.
Every prediction is also measured against what a naive guess would have scored, so repeating the obvious earns nothing however often it lands.
Free, and free of accounts — there’s nothing to sign up for. In beta on the NFL, with more sports to follow, and news and politics after that.
